Having over 100 millimeters of rain and a town full of disgruntled Vanfest patrons, the 2nd of December saw Forbes Art Society host the official opening of the Black and White Exhibition in the Platypus Gallery situated on the corner of Lachlan and Templar St.

Not a single wall space was spared with phenomenal entries and a packed house of artists and art enthusiasts a like. Works could be any subject and in any medium, the only restriction was that work must be predominantly black and white.

Guests were treated to a delicious afternoon tea accompanied by wine and were encouraged to dress in black and white to coincide with the theme of the exhibition. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and put a sticker on the works they admire the most. The winner will be announced early next year.

The Black and White Exhibition will run through until the end of December. The Platypus Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am til 4pm.
