Detroit; Southern Racist Tension

Although the days of African Americans migrating from the South to make their fortunes in the Detroit factories are long gone, the racial hostilities of the past still linger in the Spring air of modern day Detroit.

Never more obvious then when I took my evening walks around the neighborhoods where I resided for the last leg of my journey across the US.
